CastCAE was initially created at Technical Research Centre of Finland. Throughout its existence, it has been developed with the cooperation of the foundries and research institutions. That is the only way to respond to the needs of the industry.

The development has included numerous test suites run in foundries using different casting processes. The purposes of the tests have been e.g. comparison of casting defects, filling order, cold shut, misrun, nodule formation, etc.

CASTech Inc. has participated in several projects. The projects bring invaluable information that is transferred to CastCAE to benefit all the users.
