Mesh Generation
Mesh generation is the stage where CAD-geometry is converted to a format that the simulation program can use. This is known to be a bottleneck in many simulation programs. Especially FEM-based simulation programs require very accurately created high-quality geometries.

Instead, CastCAE allows certain inaccuracies and overlaps to ease the modeling. This can save many hours of work with each model, as it is usually the small details that take the longest to model.

In CastCAE, mesh generation is very easy. No corrective measures need to be done, just select the STL-files of the components, indicate their type, select the element size and generate.

Components can be viewed in 3D, making visualizing easy. You can include all kinds of foundry equipment, like chills, insulating and exothermic sleeves, cores, shells, etc. For investment, Replicast CS® and Croning process casting, the ceramic shell can be created automatically, a feature which will save a lot of time in modeling.
